Laina brings a diverse background of skills and professional experience to her role as a mortgage broker, serving clients in the Greater Vancouver area and across the province of British Columbia.
Her early career was focused in Information Technology, where she honed her skills in defining the challenge before her, analyzing each option with super-human attention to detail, and determining the most efficient and effective solution. With many different lenders and mortgage products to choose from, and each client’s situation being unique, this approach – and her nerdy love for spreadsheets – still serves her well in her work today.
After moving to Vancouver, Laina took a keen interest in real estate, financial planning and investing. She has pursued education in a variety of related subjects, including life insurance, securities, and other investment vehicles.
She found that many people feel confused or intimidated by financial matters so, ultimately, her love of real estate and desire to use her knowledge for good led her to become a mortgage broker.
Laina’s favourite competitive sport is undoubtedly helping her clients save money and get the best deal, which makes her work both fulfilling and a little bit thrilling.
